Tallahassee is Florida's state capital. It amazes me that there are not more resources available here. There is one rheumatologist here in town. However, I drive up to Thomasville, GA to see the rheumatologist at McIntosh Clinic. (Dr. McMillan, his P.A. Ben Smith, and the staff are wonderful! It's not a bad drive - about 45 min.) Anyone I've ever met in this area also drive up to Thomasville to see Dr. McMillan.
It would be great if an Arthritis Foundation chapter was here to help people with arthritis to find the resources that are available - water aerobics classes, pilates, nutrition centers, etc.
Has there ever been interest in starting a chapter here? It would be great for the Tallahassee/Thomasville area.
